To become an individual client there is a two step initial consultation process. Couples and families come in for a 60 minute intake. Call the Client Coordinator at (212) 725-7850, Ext. 119 or send an email to rkillion@blantonpeale.org between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to set up an appointment. We are open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 10 pm. Blanton-Peale is easily reached by subway or bus and is wheelchair accessible.
Fees
We accept Medicaid, Medicare, GHI, HIP, Aetna PPO, Empire BC/BS, and ValueOptions among other insurances. For those not using insurance, in your initial consultation you will be able to arrange fees based on our sliding scale as determined by your income, family size, and special circumstances.

THE BLANTON-PEALE INSTITUTE COMMUNITY COUNSELING CENTERS
Becoming a client is a three-step process. Individuals, couples or families may call for an initial appointment. Kathy Smith, our Administrative Assistant, will assign you to the Site Director of the office that you wish to use. The Site Director may call you for more follow-up screening. Lastly, the Site Director will assign you to one of the therapists at the site and your therapist then will schedule a 60-minute intake appointment with you. We accept most major insurances. For those who either do not have adequate insurance or no insurance, we will set an adjusted fee that is based on your income and special circumstances.

Pamela Pater-Ennis, M.Div., LCSW, is the Director of the Community Counseling Centers for the Blanton-Peale Institute in New York City. She teaches in the Blanton-Peale Institute Pastoral Studies Program and is a staff psychologist at the Brooklyn Heights site. In addition, she has a small private practice in Ridgewood and Hoboken, New Jersey. She has more than twenty years of pastoral counseling experience, which she brings to her ministry. Her areas of specialty are the following: gerontology issues; chronic and terminal illnesses; bereavement issues; sexual trauma issues; GLBT issues; faith crisis issues; and couples and family crises. She also has extensive experience in working with congregations that are in crisis and in leading retreats for church groups.Rev. Ennis is an ordained Reformed Church in America minister and a licensed clinical social worker in both New York and New Jersey. She is a graduate of Hope College in Holland, Michigan, and holds dual masters in social work and in divinity from Rutgers University and New Brunswick Theological seminary respectively. She is close to completing her PhD in social work from the University at Albany.
